Got a new shed!

Got a new shed this month! Might not be the most spacious of dwellings, but this 8x12 shed feels like a cool little clubhouse. Added in an electrical package with a breaker panel so I can use this as a hub to power my farm equipment and store the necessary tools. This is the first big step towards getting this farm up and running. One of the downsides to being located where we are is that we don’t have any utilities. No electricity, no sewer, and no plumbing. This means the farm will need to be fully off-grid, powered with solar panels. This shed will eventually be the powerhouse that will run the pump, tools, and storage necessary to bring the fruit to harvest. Other than the shed, it was a pretty uneventful trip this month, although I did make a new friend.

Surrounding the property are a series of irrigation canals that are about 25 feet wide and a few feet deep. In the canal in the front of the property there’s a small alligator that tends to stay there. He’s not too big, maybe 4-5 feet long, but he likes to hang out. Nice to know I’ve got my own little guardian watching the farm while I’m away.

Bucky is keeping a watchful eye on the farm for me

Every kid loves a clubhouse, and sometimes adults do too.
